Prashant Bhatt, the former Programming Head of Colors recently kick-started work as Producer along with ace director Sanjay Memane under the banner Studio B&M.

Now, Prashant who has an experience of over 18 years in the entertainment sector will produce a show for the youth-based channel, Channel V.

And with this, Prashant who has been at the helm earlier, with lot many saas bahu sagas will get into a brand new space, of entertaining the youth with an interesting never-told-before concept.

As per credible sources, “The show titled ‘Mastaangi’ has been worked out for Channel V. It will be going on floor in the next fortnight, and the launch is expected around December end or early next year.”

Mastaangi will have a college setup and will be a love story with a different take. We hear that it will have a nice blend of romance, thrill and mystery in its plot.

Coming to the main cast, young lad Aakash Talwar who came to the limelight with Life OK’s Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja and then went on to be part of shows Ishq Ka Rang Safed and Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan will play the male protagonist.

This show will be a comeback of sorts for Swati Kapoor who debuted with Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha. She was last seen on TV in Humari Saas Leela. This will be her first lead project in a completely new genre.

Also joining the main cast will be Himani Sahni, a newbie.

When contacted, Producer Prashant Bhatt confirmed the news saying, “Yes, things are now in place for our Channel V show. The show Mastaangi will be a love story with a different take. We will be starting shoot in two weeks’ time. For me, it is a challenge as I have earlier worked on drama soaps. This youth show is the result of my eagerness to do something new.”
