Star Plus’ spin-off Dil Bole Oberoi is one of the channel’s much awaited offerings considering the fact that it is India’s first ever spin off series. The show will telecast in the 10:30 pm timeslot and will focus on the lives of Omkara (Kunal Kulbhushan Jaisingh), Gauri (Shrenu Parikh), Rudra (Leenesh Mattoo) and Soumya (Nehalaxmi Iyer).
The spin-off has always been in the news because of its casting. After having roped in Shrenu Parikh as the female lead opposite Kunal Jaisingh, the makers roped in Bigg Boss Season 10 contestant Rahul Dev for the role of the baddie Kaali Thakur.
And if rumors are to be believed, an existing cast member of the show is all set to turn a baddie in the show. And brace yourself guys, for the name that we will be revealing, is an unexpected one.
We are talking about actress Nehalaxmi Iyer aka Soumya’s character in the show. According to sources, the makers are planning to turn Soumya into a negative character. Soumya will actually be Tia (Navina Bole), Svetlana (Reyhna Malhotra) and Romi’s (Krissann Barretto) sister. And Soumya’s negative side will come to fore in Dil Bole Oberoi.
However, when we contacted Nehalaxmi Iyer for confirmation, she had a very different tale to tell us. She said, “Well, I have not yet been informed about any such character changes. They would have informed me if at all they were planning to turn a positive character into a negative one. As of now, there are no such plans.”
If at all the makers turn Soumya’s character into a villain, then she would perfectly fit the phrase – looks can be deceptive.
