We did not fall in love with acting to only show off our bodies – Sargun Mehta

We came across a very hard-hitting and unbiased social media post by Sargun Mehta that raises several questions…

This afternoon, we came across a very hard-hitting and unbiased social media post by Sargun Mehta where she questions people how are TV actors any less than Bollywood stars when television has a bigger reach than films?

Praising her husband Ravi Dubey’s patience, diligence and the fire with which he performed an enigmatic scene as Satya in his on going show Jamai Raja on Zee TV, Sargun hopes that people start remembering actors for their performances too apart from their bikini bods and abs!

She posted a status along with a video:

Gone are the days when television was aptly called the small screen. Well, not more definitely! Television has grown so much that its reach has become out of the ordinary.

We agree that the small screen has produced numerous celebrities of their own kind some even attaining national fame. Top television actors are in demand nothing less to the popular B-Townies and not them, the daily soaps production budget, even the TV actors’ remuneration is at par with our film stars. We have Bollywood coming down to using TV as a medium to connect with the masses which truly shows where the two mediums stand.

What is your opinion on the same?
