Major fight between creative head Rishi Dwivedi and director Rohit Raj Goyal on the sets of Star Bharat’s Jiji Maa

MUMBAI: Ego clashes, arguments, fights…these are also a part of the entertainment world. Viewers watch the perfect shot on the TV screens but it takes a lot of hard work, co-operation and understanding among the teammates.

Time and again we keep reading news about issues or problems that crop-up between the cast and crew or vice-a-versa, and today is no different.

bestarticles has exclusive reports for its viewers from the sets of Star Bharat’s popular show Jiji Maa, produced by Jay Productions. The drama features Tanvi Dogra, Dishank Arora, Shubhashish Jha, Pallavi Pradhan and Bhavika Sharma in lead roles.

A reliable source informed us about a massive rift that apparently happened between the show’s creative head, Rishi Dwivedi and director, Rohit Raj Goyal.

To know more about the clash we got in touch with both of them to get more clarity.

Speaking to bestarticles, Rishi Dwivedi, who was working with the team of Jiji Maa, said, “I was working with them as a Creative Head. They first finalized me for almost half the amount that I asked for. I joined the team without a proper appointment letter and the behaviour that I received on the sets was completely unacceptable.”

According to Rishi, the director of the show, Rohit was very rude to him from the beginning itself and the actual fight roared between them when Rishi came late for the shoots on the second day.

“The prop location and placement of a map that was to be used in a shot was changed overnight when I was there with the team until 11:30pm and I had kept senior Triven Singh (my main go-to person) in loop about me reaching late,” said Rishi.

He added, “When I reached the sets I greeted Rohit but he simply started screaming at me, questioning me for being late and for not managing the props. The location of the props was changed without any prior information. How am I to be blamed for not being aware about the same when I was not even kept in loop? Plus, it was not correct of Rohit to start abusing me.”

“Fights happen everywhere but I wouldn’t stand aside and let someone disrespect me when I am not even at fault,” said Rishi who has earlier worked with Star Network for a span of two years.

“When I was interrogated in the rudest way possible on the sets in front of the crew by Rohit for being late, I did inform him that I had kept Triven sir in the loop but Rohit sir started using vulgar words for both me and Triven. Later, I lost my cool and harshly asked him to not abuse me and to maintain a decent language while speaking,” added Rishi.

The matter between the two led to such heights that Rishi was forced to leave his post.

“I wrote mails keeping Triven sir and the channel authorities in the loop informing them about the fight that took place on the sets to which they asked me to keep my calm. They said they will look into the matter. But later I was asked to leave my post,” shared Rishi.

“Rohit asked Priyanka from the Jiji Maa team to ask me to leave the sets as he cannot tolerate me anymore. Later, the matter escalated to another height and I was again asked to leave at any cost. Since, Triven is my senior I requested Priyanka to please ask him to shoot a mail about my sack but I was informed that the mail will be sent later on.”

“The bad experience left me in a state of depression. Later, I filed an official complaint in Aarey Police station against the production house and the authorities under IPC 323 (Assault), IPC 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and IPC 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation). Take a look!

bestarticles got in touch with director Rohit to know his side of the story as we strongly believes in the saying “Each coin has two sides.” He stated, “The sequence that had to be shot required a map that had to be the main point of focus; the simplest job at Rishi’s hand was to arrange the map. First, he was severely late and the shot was with held because of that. Second, I was not informed by anyone that Rishi will be late. Thus, when he came I did question him about the map issue but I wasn’t rude as he said.”

“He kept reverting back very rudely to whatever I asked and kept saying that he had informed Triven hence he is not answerable to me,” further added by Rohit.

Further Rohit shared, “I had no clue about the mail that Rishi had sent Triven, channel head and the production house. I did not force anyone to leave the sets. I would never stoop to such a level.

Rohit also shared that Rishi used to change the scenes according to his will and even used to delay the shoot and confuse the artists.

“Why did Rishi feel that I had a problem with him? I agree that I take time to open up as I am quite reserved in nature. How do you expect me to get up and greet a person I barely know as if he is my some old buddy,” questioned Rohit.

“Plus I have no idea about the police complaint he has filed and moreover his complaint is with the production house why is he blaming me for whatever has happened,” ended Rohit.

Rohit is a well-known director and has earlier directed Star Plus’ popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum and also found his love in Deepika Singh with whom he is now happily married and blessed with a cute daughter.

Whatever be the reasons of fight, bestarticles hopes that both of them resolve their issues soon and bury the hatchets.
