MUMBAI: Ishqbaaaz fans have been left upset ever since producer Gul Khan confirmed that a generation leap is being planned from December. As per media reports, post the leap track in the serial, Surbhi Chandna, who essays the role of Anika, won’t be part of the show. Meanwhile, Nakuul Mehta, who essays the role of Shivaay, will be retained to play Shivika’s son, according to our sources.
Ever since the news made headlines, the fans of the show started the hashtag #NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaz, which was trending on number one position in several parts of India including Mumbai. Surbhi had also tweeted, ‘CALMing Breeze your way’. And everyone seems to be thinking that this tweet is for the outrage on social media. While the news regarding Surbhi is yet to be confirmed by both parties, fans have been sending emails and letters to the channel and the production house to request them against the move.
Ishqbaaaz is one of the most popular serials on television. Recently, during the Star Parivaar Awards, the show bagged the maximum number of awards, and Surbhi and Nakuul also took the maximum awards home.
