MUMBAI: Television actor, anchor & entrepreneur Aashka Goradia was recently on a month long vacation in USA spending some quality time with her in- laws bringing in her first marriage anniversary with her American husband Brent Goble in his home town!
Apparently the Maharana Pratap actress made the most use of her holidays as Aashka enrolled herself in a pole dancing class during her stay in the US. Aashka shares, “I’ve never felt this fit before. After Nach Baliye, we wanted to continue rediscovering our bodies. Brent has been practicing yoga for years now & looking at his sincerity, I felt motivated & we’ve been seriously practicing it for the last 8 months now. So there came a point where I wondered what next now! What more can I do with this body. I knew I had to do something new while I was here in Nebraska for 5 long weeks.”
The actress is often seen performing some difficult yoga asanas being Brent’s one of the first students after the latter procured a degree in the same from a prestigious institute. Aashka shares her passion for learning new things,’ Pole dancing always looked fascinating & unreal until I actually decided to take on the challenge. Also the fact that I felt the most fit & flexible after yoga, I wanted to test new waters & see what my body is capable of. I enrolled myself in pole dancing lessons. It’s like I’m living my 20’s in my 30’s & it never felt so good. Sometimes it’s also important to try newer things to explore a different side of you, pole dancing improves your posture, gives a sense of independence & sexiness that no other sport can. It’s the most difficult thing I’ve attempted so far but it’s incredibly liberating. Brent believes no routine should be a fad in your life so we’re considering installing a pole back in Mumbai at our home to keep me going.’
