MUMBAI: 29th September is World Heart Day. Here is how these actors ensure that their heart is healthy.
Munisha Khatwani: I avoid everything that causes any emotional pain and I like to give only love and nothing else.
Ayush Anand: I believe it’s very important to have a positive mind and a fit body to keep your heart healthy. I am a very positive person in real life who wishes health, wealth, happiness success for everyone, so I don’t have to put any effort to keep my mind positive. However, it requires some hard work to keep your body fit as I am not one of those blessed souls who eats anything and gets away with it. I need to exercise for an hour a day to keep myself fit. I do a mix of martial arts, weight training, gymnastics and swimming.
Ruslaan Sayed: Heart is a delicate organ and yet it’s the most important human organ. These days in the stressful lifestyle that we live everything makes the heart go weak, from pollution to a pizza. The heart needs to breathe so I try making it easy. I eat healthy low cholesterol food and do power yoga, even the heart needs exercise. Plus, I avoid stressful situations through meditation, stress is the biggest enemy of a healthy heart so I find reasons to keep myself happy for my heart.
Akashdeep: Firstly, I try to remain happy. There is no better medicine than being happy and spreading happiness. Physical conditioning is a must alongside this. Unfortunately, I have put on a lot of weight and that is wrong. I’m aware and trying hard to lose weight. I do agree that I am putting too much load on my heart because of excess weight. And as one touches 50 years of age, one’s metabolism slows down and weight loss gets tougher. I would request youngsters to stay fit and live longer. A healthy heart is a must for a healthy life.
Aanand Goradiya: I avoid eating oily deep fried stuff. I climb three flights of stairs daily also. There is a double dose of vitamin S in my life i.e. my loving wife Swati and doting little daughter Sanvie. The most important of all, I have learnt to share and communicate my feelings of joy and anger, my apprehensions and also the deepest fears of my heart. I don’t choke the arteries of my heart with bottled up emotions so on world heart day I would persuade all to do the same to keep your heart healthy always.
Neelu Kohli: I smile and laugh out loud and try and be a better person than I was yesterday. I make sure I have a bigger smile and a better heart.
Shamin Mannan: I walk every day, I take multivitamins, have green veggies, love with all my heart, and last but not the least, I believe in being a child at heart always and laugh out loud.
Sheeba: I do lots of Yoga, I drink lots of water, eat the right vitamins – keep a happy positive approach to life. I stay away from negativity and bad vibes. I eat healthy most of the time- spirituality also helps my heart stay happy and healthy – so does spending time with my family and friends.
Shashank Vyas: I make sure to be positive and spread positivity around me. I feel that is very important to spread happiness.
Puru Chibber: You should always be happy so everything around you is happy. You should be optimistic and everything around will be fine. Eat homemade food and exercise daily and you will be healthy and happy. Happy World Heart Day to everyone.
Saurabh Pandey: I do a lot of cardiovascular activities and take natural Vitamin D and do 10 to 12 Surya Namaskar for keeping my body healthy and I regularly walk. I keep only good fats and avoid junk and oily food. Always laugh, be happy and keep a positive environment around. The way you think affects everything. I try to stick to a light meal during the night and also workout at the gym. I keep 20% empty stomach after meal to keep me from gaining weight and keep the heart healthy.
Jasmin Bhasin: I think what is most important to keep your heart healthy is to stay happy and do things which gives you peace at heart so I do things that make me happy like eat my favourite food, meet my friends and don’t keep grief in my heart. By having a good and healthy diet and having proper vitamins and exercising, of course, is the most important to keep your heart healthy.
Sneha Wagh: I make sure to laugh and smile a lot. That is the basis of life. If you are happy, everything seems possible.
Ssharad Malhotra: Listen to your heart, follow your heart for keeping your heart healthy. I keep myself happy and in love but love fizzles sometimes but I still keep myself motivated like Shahrukh Khan.
Shivin Narang: I feel one should be cheerful to keep heart happy and one must do what heart says. When you keep heart happy it remains healthy. One must have few close people in life to share your life with and one must smile daily and regularly.
