TV actress Kritika Kamra made a rather huge mark for herself in the television industry with Kitani Mohabbate Hai season 1 and 2. Kritika, who garnered instant fame from her dubut show, also has shows like Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and Prem Ya Paheli? – Chandrakanta to her credit.
And now, she is all set to take the ‘big leap’ with director Nitin Kakkar’s Hindi remake of the Telugu film ‘Pelli Choopulu’, which will be produced by Phantom Films. The film, which is yet to be titled, stars Jackky Bhagnani, Prateik Babbar and Gujarati actor Pratik Gandhi.
Pelli Choopulu (meaning an arranged marriage set up) is the tale of how 2 people who end up at the wrong address to meet their respective partners, form a bond, befriend each other, support and end up encouraging each other’s careers only to ultimately fall in love.
The entire backdrop of this Hindi remake is set and shot in Ahmedabad.
