Check out which shows topped the TRP charts this week. Take a look as we list down the shows that were loved by the audience! (based on Urban charts)
This week literally saw no change in terms of the Top 10 shows apart from a change in their positions. While a few shows scored well, others dropped.
Unfortunately for the millions of fans, ‘Ishqbaaaz’ and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ continue to be off the list, for the 2nd consecutive week and that is concerning. Being major league shows, they need to make a comeback as soon as possible.
The 10th slot this week was again occupied by ‘Ek Shringaar -Swabhimaan.’ The show made a surprise entry into the list last week and managed to sustain that viewership this week too, with 2.4 points.
For the second consecutive week, ‘Udaan’ managed to sustain its 9th spot and quite literally was the most consistent in terms of numbers as it grabbed 2.5 points.
The 8th spot also witnessed no change whatsoever, as ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ continued to stay put, with a minor dip in ratings as it fetched 2.6 points.
The downfall for ‘Shakti… Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii’ continued as the show fell to the 7th spot. But what was more concerning, was that the ratings also dropped from 2.8 last week, to 2.6 points.
Pretty much like several shows in the latter half of the list, ‘Shani’ maintained its 6th position this week too, but with a slight fall in numbers. The show fetched 2.7 points.
It is not a surprise that ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ fared better than the past week, as this time, it had a more alluring list of celebrities to offer. The show garnered 2.7 points and has risen to the 5th spot as compared to last week. However, with all the negativity and controversies surrounding Kapil Sharma this week, we think it will certainly have an impact on the show’s ratings for the next week.
One of the biggest surprises last week, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ maintained its performance this week too. However, the show did see a little dip in the ratings and position, but that doesn’t really mean a threat for the show, as it grabbed the 4th position with 2.9 points.
Another brain-racking surprise came in the form of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, as the show continued to maintain its rock steady position in terms of viewership. It fetched 3.0 points this week too but witnessed a drop in its position, courtesy other shows performing better.
I am actually re-affirmed with the prediction that ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ will be able to knock ‘Naagin 2’ off the top spot. The show rose to the 2nd position this week and also saw a rise in the numbers, as it managed to get 3.2 points. However, it is still a long shot as…
…just when a show comes close to the numbers that ‘Naagin 2’ fetches; somehow, ‘Naagin 2’ manages to perform even better. The show proudly stays put at the top spot with a major rise in numbers at 3.5 points, this week as well.
I am sure, millions of fans must be saddened that ‘Ishqbaaaz’ and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ continue to be out of the Top 10 list. However, it has been a really close call for ‘Ek Sringaar- Swabhimaan’, as it scraped its way to the 10th spot and managed to leave ‘Ishqbaaaz’ behind.
