Some gifts are really special. And actor Pawan Shankar has a great gift up his sleeves for all the students in Mumbai. Pawan, who apart from being a gifted artist is also a successful entrepreneur, is currently focusing on the academic field. After launching a fashion website, he has set his sights on organising Educationista, a grand scale education fair on Children’s Day.
The two-day event held at Nehru Centre Worli, in association with a national daily, will see schools from India and foreign coming together to have a one-on-one chat with students. This admission and counselling platform is a first for India where day and boarding schools from all quarters will come together under the same roof.
Talking about the same, Pawan shared, “I think the field of education has spread its wings wide. And such events would help students to realise the number of opportunities that they have. Students would get a first-hand chance to discuss their career goals and apprehensions with the authorities.”
When we asked him on his part in the project, Pawan quipped, “I am completely involved in the exhibition. I think once you setup a business, it is important to work towards achieving the success. Being answerable to nobody is a special feel.”
Finally, when we asked him about his take on such prospects, the actor said, “Every time I connect with the authorities of various colleges, I feel like going back in time and readmitting myself into a school or college. The kind of opportunities and advantages students have now is too good to be true. I wish everyone uses them well and builds a great career ahead.”
Good going, Pawan!
