Marathi actress Radhika Vidyasagar who was last seen in Colors’ Shastri Sisters will play a very relatable role of a mother in Zee TV’s upcoming show, Yeh Vaada Raha (Trishula Productions).
Radhika will play the docile and middle-class mother of the male lead, essayed by Ankush Arora.
As per sources, “Radhika would be a widow, who would have sought shelter at her brother-in-law’s place after the demise of her husband. Her character will be very contrast to that of her devrani, the antagonist on the show, Rinku Karmarkar. She will be shown as a helpless mother, who would want her son to get the best in life.”
When contacted, Radhika who has done comic shows like R.K. Laxman ki Duniya said, “Yes, this is a very challenging avatar. I play the mother of the male lead. She is a very submissive woman who has lived her life seeking help from her brother-in-law and family.”
Radhika starts shoot for Yeh Vaada Raha from today.
