Tell us little about yourself.
This is my first fiction show, but before Lajwanti, I had won Ticket to Bollywood on NDTV Prime.
Tell us little bit about your role in the show.
My character of Lajjo is very chirpy, bubbly, emotional and passionate. The character and show will connect with every age group as the concept is very unique and fresh.
How did you bag this show?
I am from Chandigarh and I got to know about the show so I went for the audition. Although I completely forgot about it, I got a call about being selected to play the lead role for the drama. It came as a big shock to me.
How is Sid as a co-star?
I thought he would throw a lot of tantrums. But he has been very supportive and caring. He is like a teacher who keeps guiding me.
What made you to choose this show?
Lajwanti is a dream role for any actor to play. I am very lucky to bag this show. It has everything that I wished to have in my debut show.
Any challenges you faced as this is your first show?
I did a lot of hard work as it’s not today’s story. But luckily, Lajjo and Ankita’s traits are similar. There were many workshops to get the characters right. We also did many rehearsals to get into the skin of the drama.
How did acting come your way?
I have been into classical dancing since my childhood and have won many awards on national level. I did a short film, which was nominated for Toronto Film Festival. That’s how the acting bug bit me!
All the best, girl!
