Actress Jaya Bhattacharya is a person with great experience and sensibilities!! She believes in imparting the knowledge that she has gained over the years, to the younger generation actors on the sets of Colors’ Thapki Pyar Ki.
An ‘ultimate Maa’ to one and all, Jaya is always there to give them health tips, resolve problems and of course, to have a jolly time with them.
What’s more? Jaya’s cute off-screen bonding with Thapki, Jigyasa Singh has been very much unlike her troublesome on-screen persona, as Vasundhara in the show.
Says Jaya, “Yes, I am the ‘Maa’ for all the kids on the show. Of course, in addition to being experienced in the industry, I am a person who has seen life. So I share and teach whatever I can to them. Also, I am the one bringing the nutritional stuff on the set, like the fruits, juices etc. So I have a remedy for all their health problems, and I keep forcing the fruits on them so that they stay healthy.”
As Vasundhara, Jaya might not see Jigyasa eye to eye while shooting, but she pampers the girl like her own daughter off-screen.
“She’s the cutest girl I have known, and from day one, I call her by the name ‘Meow’. I am an animal lover and I use this phrase with a lot of love, as Jigyasa looks as cute as a cat (smiles). She addresses me as ‘Maa’ and I seldom call her by her name. She is always ‘Thappu’ or ‘Meow’ for me,” says the senior actress.
So cute, this!!
Well, another thing that contributes to Jaya and Jigyasa’s bonding is their sheer love for animals. “Yes, she too is an animal lover, and we carry the same kind of emotions, is what I feel.”
Jigyasa’s habit of giving cute and cuddly animal-friendly nick names does not end here… She calls the fair and good-looking Bihaan, Manish Goplani as ‘Safed Kharghosh’…
That’s really sweet of you, Jaya!!
