The pretty television actress Isha Sharma, who made her television debut with Zee TV’s Jamai Raja, enjoys playing negative roles onscreen.
In a chat with Isha shared, “I couldn’t have asked for a better debut than a show like Jamai Raja. I never felt like a newbie with the cast. They all are very supportive and co-operative.”
Do you enjoy playing positive or negative characters onscreen? “Negative roles are cooler than positive ones. Negative roles have more layers and shades, which challenge you as an actor.”
Any negative character that has inspired you? “Well, I haven’t watched much television, but I used to like Urvashi Dholakia as Komilika. She has created a bench mark and people still coin her name whenever any negative roles are mentioned,” she said,
What types of roles do you wish to play in the future? “I don’t mind doing fantasy, mythological or any historical-based shows. In fact, I feel these types of shows are shot and presented very well than a daily soap.”
If not actor, what other alternate career would you’ve had? “I am an engineer, so maybe I would have worked in an engineering firm.”
On a personal note, how do you unwind yourself? “I enjoy swimming, watching movies and TV series, chilling with buddies, travelling and exploring new places and shopping. I am also a big gadget freak.”
Good luck, Isha!
