The actor had a specific reason to do so..
The Colors show, ‘Thapki…Pyaar Ki,’ is all set to go through a major development in the upcoming weeks. The show has already witnessed a leap and is now all set to introduce a seven-month leap and that will change the lives of Thapki (Jigyasa Singh) and Bihaan (Manish Goplani) drastically.
And this means that several transformations are on their way in the on-going characters of the show. When it comes to actor Ankit Bathla, who plays the character of Dhruv in the show, this leap has meant bad news.
Why is that? According to a leading news daily, this leap meant Ankit had to play a father to a five-year-old, which the actor did not want to.
He mentioned that he is not ready to play a father to a five-year-old already and doesn’t want to be called ‘Papa’ on-screen.
We contacted Ankit, who said, “Yes. It is true. I have decided to quit ‘Thapki..’ and the reason is that I don’t think I am ready to play a father on-screen. At this stage, I cannot see myself playing a father to five year old daughters. The current seven month leap was fine with me, but this further leap having these developments got me to take this decision.”
We asked if he already has some future projects lined up, to which he said, “Well. Let’s see. Firstly, I think I would like to take a break (laughs). It has been almost 2 years since doing ‘Thapki..’ and it has been an absolutely beautiful journey. And now, I would like to take a break and take into consideration about doing work later.”
We wish the actor All The Best for his future ventures.!
