MUMBAI : When Abhishek Kumar, Khanzadi, Isha Malviya, and Ayesha got together to support Ankita Lokhande on the release of her film Swatantra Veer Savarkar, it was like a little Bigg Boss 17 reunion. At the theaters, Rashami Desai was also at the show. They all posed for the camera. It should be noted that Randeep Hooda plays the movie’s lead role.

The popular social media handler posted a video of Abhishek Kumar hugging Khanzadi at the theater. Vicky Jain, Ankita’s spouse, is also present at the theater. The following video features Ayesha, Isha Malviya, Rashami Desai, and other people posing for the camera. They are present for Ankita’s support.
Recently, at an event, Ankita shared that Randeep felt she was ‘too pretty’ to be cast for the film. Swatantra Veer Savarkar will mark her first film after her stint in Bigg Boss 17. At the event, Ankita said that Randeep had researched very well about her character. She then revealed, “He told me, ‘I don’t think I want you in the film’. I was like, why? He was like, ‘You are too pretty for the character (Yamunabai Savarkar)’. I was like, ‘Please don’t say that’.”
The film also features Amit Sial. Swatantra Veer Savarkar is scheduled to be released in theatres on March 22 in Hindi and Marathi. The film has been produced by Zee Studios, Anand Pandit, Randeep Hooda, Sandeep Singh, and Yogesh Rahar.
For the uninitiated, Randeep Hooda will be essaying the role of controversial freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in the movie ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’. While announcing the film in March 2022, Randeep Hooda mentioned that playing Savarkar’s role would be challenging.
“There are many heroes that have played their part in getting us our independence. However, not everyone has gotten their due. Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is the most misunderstood, debated, and influential of these unsung heroes, and his story must be told. I am delighted to collaborate with Sandeep after ‘Sarabjit’, for Swatantra Veer Savarkar. It will be yet another challenging role to portray,” he said.
